SAN ANTONIO: Out of almost 322 million people in the United States the President makes 4000 political appointments, of which about 500 require Senate confirmation.
Today President Donald Trump made an announcement for his intention to nominate Ms. Anna Maria Farias to serve as the Assistant Secretary for Fair Housing
Anna Maria has worked in the highest levels of government going back to the Reagan Administration. In February, Farias was elected as the first Hispanic Woman Chair of the Board of Regents at Texas Women’s University. She has served as the Vice Chair of the Republican Party of Bexar County since 2015.
Although, we hate to say good bye to Anna Maria as the Vice Chair of the Republican Party of Bexar County, we know she will continue her service in Washington working to help all Americans in her position at HUD.
We wish her all the best,
Chairman, Republican Party of Bexar County
